About Us
The Eagle River Historical Society was formed in 1998, and in 1999 opened its first Museum in the former administration building on the Trees for Tomorrow campus on Sheridan Street in Eagle River.
In 2012 the campus of the Historical Museum was purchased and after eighteen months of renovation, opened in May of 2014. The physical changes in the Society have been mirrored by many developments in administration, funding, financial organization and collections management, resulting in a Society that operates two museums and several ongoing programs. The Society is the only local history entity devoted to preserving the community memories of the Eagle River area.
